awen productions  started in 2006, making films rooted in this place and the people who live here. We work collaboratively — treating the people whose stories we tell as creative partners.

We care about the voices that don't always get heard: folklore, rural stories, women's history, community memory, the things that might otherwise slip away.

Our films and audio-visual projects are thought-provoking, empowering people by telling inspiring stories from intimate perspectives.

We are motivated to think across boundaries, producing powerful, bold material with a social, ethical conscience.
